Fall Harvest
Held in October every year, Fall Harvest is our Center's opportunity to engage the entire neighborhood and partners in the community. We honor local Center supporters who are also very active and busy giving back in multiple ways to the Woodhaven community. In 2025 we honored our very own Sister Cathy Stare, SC, and Victor Rodriguez of Victory Plumbing with the Community Service awards. This year, we introduced a new recognition, the Good Neighbor Award, which was given to Queens Senator Joseph P. Addabbo for his longtime support of the Center.
Shuffle Into Spring
We invite you to our annual Gala, Shuffle into Spring! Held in April for 200+ guests, our event highlights our supporters, near and far, especially our friends within the JFK airport business community. Complete with a fabulous buffet dinner, student testimonials, raffle baskets, honorees, and dancing, this is where we come together to celebrate our wonderful Queens community!
Celebrations for our Students
Throughout the year, we offer special celebrations for our students. Some of our highlights include a potluck lunch at Thanksgiving; special field trips; a Christmas party sponsored by The Ladies of Charity of St. John's University; Pi day; and our wonderful closing ceremony when all of our current students receive certificates for their hard work throughout the year!
